With practice, awareness grows and you learn to guide both your mind and your body into a state of relaxation and ease. This can be very effective in stopping emotional eating, improving athletic performance, and finding freedom from anxiety and low moods.
Not everyone needs medication, but the right medication(s) can be very helpful and life changing for some people. Medications may need to be adjusted or changed from time to time.
